Student research on display at Exhibition

Field Elementary School hosted its Exhibition, an annual learning showcase for fifth-grade International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP) students on Wednesday, Feb. 25.
Individually, the fifth graders researched, analyzed, considered and developed presentations on a topic or local issue that meant something to them. After weeks of writing and display making, the students presented how they took action to make the world a better place. Presentation topics included Japanese calligraphy, cat care, weather, nuclear power, wakeboarding and more.
“The Exhibition is the space where students demonstrate that they take action, that they are leaders in their own community,” said Dr. Jeremy Alsup, IB coordinator. “Our mission is to make the world a better place. For our students, this is the first of many times that they will be changing the world for the better.”
